Our mission is not possible without the generous giving of visitors, church members, friends, and community. We’re grateful for all support we receive. Contact us if you want to make a gift in a way you don’t see listed here, or if we can be of assistance.

Giving of your time and talents is another way you can contribute to our church and community. If you are interested in learning more, please complete our Time and Talent Survey form online.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and can provide a charitable gift acknowledgement receipt or letter that can be used when filing your tax return.

Donate electronically via the bank you use. Your bank’s online payment service that you use to pay bills may be able to make one-time or recurring donations to charitable organizations. Call your bank’s customer service number for info on what they offer. This is a donation method that usually incurs no additional cost to the donor or to the charitable recipient.

Other Ways to Give

WANT TO SAVE ON TAXES?

Cash contributions are by far the most utilized method of gifting to our church. However, there are other more favorable tax-advantaged gifting strategies.

Gifting Appreciated Securities

Donors can gift shares of stock or mutual funds that have appreciated in value directly to CBPC. This method gives you a donation of the total cash value at time of transfer without being taxed on the capital gains. (**Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional for the most up to date information**)

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

Similar to the above, donors may contribute directly from your IRA. Entire amount of your donation will be exempt from taxable income for donors aged 70½ or older. Consult your CPA, financial advisor, or contact the church office for more information on these tax-advantaged gifting strategies.

Direct Transfer from an IRA
(**Please consult your financial advisor or tax professional for the most up to date information**) If you are 70 1/2 or older and must take a Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA, you can make a contribution to the church directly from your IRA simply by instructing your plan administrator to make the transfer directly to Carolina Beach Presbyterian Church. Your gift will be transferred directly to the church, will not be reported as taxable income and will count toward your yearly minimal distribution requirements. This might be important to some who, due to tax law, find it more beneficial to take the new increased standard deduction rather than itemizing. By making the contribution directly from your IRA, it reduces your income and might help in preventing other increases for Medicare, drug insurance, etc. Required Minimum Distributions must be made by December 31st each year in order to exclude that amount from taxable income.
